RCAB News: Cornering the Market on Oscar Corral

The Review of Cuban-American Blogs' exhaustive coverage of the Affaire Oscar Corral, unmatched by any other blog or newspaper, has won it thousands of new readers in a week's time. If you Google "Oscar Corral prostitute" or "Yamilet López" the first entries are from this blog, which means that they are the most popular resources for those topics on the internet.

And the good news continues: one of those googlers requesting information on "Oscar Corral" came to us from Cape Town, South Africa, and stayed logged-in for 36:38 minutes. He holds the distinction of being our first visitor from the African continent.

We were also visited this morning by USDA's Office of Operations, in Fort Collins, Colorado. It used the search words: "are cubans given 10,000 from dry-foot."

Can this possibly mean that the U.S. intends to fulfill its quota of 20,000 refugees from Cuba this year (currently 10,000 short) before the new fiscal year begins on Sept. 30? And has the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Office of Operations been charge with feeding them?

In any case, the USDA website lists nearly 10,000 resources on Cuba, including Trade with Cuba, Export Requirements for Cuba and Untapped Potential of Cuba. Food for thought.

Did I actually post before Vana did? I don't believe it!

Congrats on your newfound celebrity as the Oscar Corral commentator. Dare I say you exhibit "obvious glee" in providing such important information.

Anyway, I noticed your poll, and saw that so far only ELEVEN votes have been submitted. You must be proud of such an accomplishment. Notice that polls on Babalu Blog reach near or above the 100 mark.

But, with SO MANY comments on your blog (thanks to your regular exchanges with Vana, Farinas, and others including yourself) I'm sure we can look forward to many more posts. Sucks for Babalu!

Speaking of which, I remember that on July 15, 2007, you wrote:

"Babalú has received a total of 44 comments for its last 20 posts. Nine of the 20 posts received 0-1 comments...

"If such a fate had befallen the Review [of Cuban-American Blogs], I would close this blog."

Sure hope that never happens!

Now, you have THREE posts! Way to go!

I am still waiting with bated breath for your post on the Cuban boxers and wondering how you are ever going to make Castro come out the hero. If it can be done, you will find the way.

In case you didn't notice — and so much flies by you unnoticed, especially if it involves blood and Fidel Castro, human rights and Fidel Castro, democracy and Fidel — this poll is not a real poll, but a joke. If you need a further definition of a joke, consult your own "serious" writings.

My Posada Poll reached 40 votes in the infancy of this blog. You remember, don't you? The "Is Posada a Hero" poll where everybody voted in the affirmative? I was afraid you might close your blog because of it.

I didn't know you were such a great fan of Babalú, but nothing surprises me about you now. I guess if I cracked the whip like they do you might think better of me.

As for their polls, I've yet to see one with more than 100 votes (and I leave you the pleasant task of searching their site for one).

Very few people defend Oscar Corral and I've been blogging mostly about him late lately. If this causes thousands to flock here, it is by their choice, nothing "gleeful" about it from my end, just the thoughtful commentary which you admire so much.

Let me know when I have 44 or fewer comments for the last 20 posts on my blog. It sure isn't today.

P.S.: The current count for the last 20 posts on the RCAB is 157, which is much more than 44.

P.S.S.: I see you have removed The Review of Cuban American Blogs from your Brogroll. I guess I'll have to do the same thing with you. Oh wait! I never linked you in the first place! Prescient as ever.

You yourself were the only referral that your blog ever sent my way, and I'm sure I haven't lost you, mambo. So, in effect, I have lost nothing.

I think you could benefit from the poetic wisdom of Bagdad Bob. Here you go. Here's some bagdad bob adaptations for rcab.

7. "The [Babalu Raido Hour] has caused us such great distress with their lies and two-faced infidel behavior, it has made me unable to locate my pants."

6. "The divine exhilaration of [BABALU RADIO BROADCASTS] elevates the soul to such a plane of bliss and excitement that the almighty Allah himself boils with jealousy!"

5. "This dark stain on my pants is from wetting myself with joy at how well the [SITEMETER] goes for us."

4. "My blog is so incredibly rich and creamy, so delightfully flavorful, that it would be [A BABALU INFIDEL] lie to say that it is not butter!"

3. "All other cinema candies will bow or they will suffer a painful death when they look upon the crushing majesty of [RCAB'S TRUTH]"

2. "Who, I ask you, is a swashbuckler who is a sex machine to all the chicks? Oscar? Allah be praised if you are incorrect!"

1. "RCAB stands strong and proudly humbled, welcoming wave after wave of [BABALU EXILES]

You're waiting for my post?! Finally, some real motivation to write about this meaningless story that perhaps all news outlets around the world have written about. If only they had the motivation that you have just bestowed upon me.

Bless you Mr. Tellechea.

Ah, how stupid of me! That was a "joke" poll. I get it. HA ha! Eleven voters (who I'm sure are reading now, VANA) sure love your sense of humor. "Epic struggle... for hearts and minds..." HA ha, how silly you are.

Anyway, since you left me with a task (I'm so grateful), here's what I actually had in mind when I wrote about it. On May 29, 2007, the Babalu Blog asked "Is Fidel Castro Dead?" I though about 100 voters participated, but I was WRONG. It was more around 300. 315 to be exact. Check here:

http://www.babalublog.com/
archives/005270.html

Anyway, its a big number of voters that I'm sure you will get to soon. Or, perhaps you have it NOW. You should do a poll, right now! I know they are there. And that guy in Africa counts for double!

I DO remember that Posada poll, it changed my views so much! That is until 59% of 736 voters on an online poll for El Nuevo Herald (April 20, 2007) voted to describe Posada Carriles as a "terrorist." Check here:

http://mambiwatch.blogspot.com/
2007/04/yeah-but-hes-our-terrorist.html

But, what's 736 or 315 online votes compared to 40 on RCAB? Those are the ones that count.

The comments here are priceless. Don't you agree?

[Oh, if you really want, I will monitor your comments and let you know when they fall below 44 of 20 post, so you can CLOSE shop. I would hate to see it happen, but you know better I suppose, huh?]

Oh wow seems Pancho is obssesed with my name, he must be using it as a mantra

Mambi_Watch said...

It's about time you noticed! Yeesh, I mean your name just runs over and over in my head. Sometimes its nothing but you VANA that I think about.

Do a search on my blog and count how many times I have mentioned you. Then, multiply that number by two.

Now, you know my "mantra".

Vana:

I see what you mean. Mambo definitely has a thing for you, Vana, although Rick was even more obsessed with you than Mambo. Rick thought you and and Agustín were me. I should not be surprised if Mambo took up that mantra some day himself.

Pancho I seldom go to your blog, if I want to read commies spewing shit, well then I go to Granma

Manuel:
Yes I don't know why he has this thing for me..lol..maybe my name puts him in a trance, must make his meditation better, go ahead Pancho chant

Mambo:

Well, you did promise your readers that you were going to write such a post. Now, if the subject confuses you, or you just don't know how you are going to make Castro the hero of the story, please don't rack your brains trying and leave the subject of the boxers' defection to those who actually have a clue.

And you are right, of course, my Posada poll is the one that counts because it reflects the future judgment of history.

As I predicted, you wasted another hour shilling for Babalú. Is that at all respectful to the spirit of the day? Today is Fidel Castro's birthday. Shouldn't you be lifting your glass with your friends at the Cuban mission?

You are free to do whatever you like. You can be sure, however, that this blog will never sink below 44 comments per 20 posts, as Babalú has done repeatedly this summer. If you wish, waste more of your time monitoring this blog. This must be the silly season for you. But, of course, school is out.

My friend, you have a problem, a big problem, if you believe that Oscar is "a swashbuckler who is a sex machine to all the chicks." Money is not allure. Money is not seduction. Money is the loser's shortcut to sex.

Manuel,
is amazing to read Mambo's commenbts about your blog. Whenever I have visited his Blog, one can scroll for several minutes without seeing a single comment to anyone of his postings. Unless they come from his fellow travelers like Leftside, who actually believes that the Cuban economy has grown 9.5% last year! This in a country that has frequent shortages of electricity, a abysmal and failed sugar harvest, the worst in all its history, and a transportation system in shambles according to castro II himself. Not even Chile with a normal economy has reached that level, but these fellow travelers believe and praise those figures. And of course we cannot forget that it was a "terrible accident" that those women and children drowned when the 13 of March "sank" in Havana's harbor according to Mambo. Leftside, his companion and fellow commenter, said that the people fleeing stole governemnt property so they were right to have been drowned and stopped. Is amazing what the minds of these apologists and fellow travelers can come up with when they try to defend the regime. Naturally, all the time from the comforts of the US soil, since they would never even contemplate putting their money where their mouths are, and move to Cuba to enjoy the benefits of the social system they so ardently defend and sing praises to. His commenter Leftside actually said that the US does not want to lift the embargo because then the Cuban economy would surge and be very prosperous! And these people pretend to be taking seriously?

Manuel A.Tellechea said...

Agustín:

Mambo and leftside take each other very seriously but no one else does. Their raw Castroism, without even the MSM's pretense of objectivity, is too transparent even for their fellow leftists, who may even be embarrassed by their lack of dissimulation and unrestrained cheerleading. Other leftists thrive to be even a little believable, but mambo and leftside are just fawning lickspittles who don't care if they are perceived as such, indeed, who prefer to be so regarded, since it is only Castro and his henchmen whom they want to impress. Little do they know that it is precisely their idols who have the most contempt for them. A mechanic may appreciate and take care of his tools; Communist despots never do.
