Manuel,
regarding our friendly ghost, I just happened to browse another blog, (can't remember now but it might have been the one based in Barcelona called "el tono de la voz") where our friend posted he did not care much for the Miami crowd or the old exiles, and that he considers himself a Mariel exile and nothing else.
As one of the so called old exiles he referred to all I have to say is: Who gives a flying fornication what you care about?
Again I point out this words of division to whether you are an old exile, a Miami exile or a Mariel exile. We are all Cubans and we are altogether in the same boat, whether we reside in Miami, New York, Spain, Pueto Rico or Tahiti. We are all outside of our country of birth because we despise the evil system imposed on us since 1959. Let's get that underlying thruth through our heads. Until we start thinking as ONE nation, both inside Cuba and outside, we will forever be condemned to wander through the world enduring this ordeal. Cubans are only one nation, and the only one making that distinction is Castro and his minions. ONE NATION!
No one has the right to separate us into old exiles and new exiles. This kind of talk only helps the regime we all despise and hate. If anyone calls me an old exile and part of the Cuban maffia, so be it. I don't give a rat's behind.
Manuel,
the post in question on my comment above was made in the Armengol blog a few months back.
I stand corrected.
Llegan 49 cubanos a Miami Beach
KATHLEEN McGRORY
Quien sabe quien llega ahi? segurosos, agentes, chivatones, policias, carceleros, espias, criminales comunes, violadores, who knows?

You are not correct. There are between 8-10 people who comment here regularly. About the same number as comment on Babalú and more than comment on most Cuban blogs.
Add to the equation the fact that RCAB has only been around 2 months and is boycotted by Babalú and its satellites, for the most part, and you must acknowledge that its succeess has been nothing less than spectacular.

This is your style and your own words. Although sometimes other dishonest commenters have used your name as they recently did on Estancia Cubana, and you sent in a comment with a clarifying note stating the comment was not yours. But this one on Armegol's blog one seems to be your words. Are they not? Why the distinction between old exiles, Miami and Mariel's exiles? Aren't we all Cubans? Or the fact that we are older and came first put us into a different category less worthy of your respect that you need to differentiate between you and those Miami old exiles?
parece Manuel que hoy tus comentaristas regulares han decidido quedarse off line , maybe estan de vacaciones same as " in the other blog"
Interesante verdad?
Should we play Taps for Babalu?..lol..I consider myself Cuban, I care for all, the old exiles, the Marielitos, and specially the Balseros, my heart goes out to them, may they all find themselves to freedom, no more dying in the Straits of Florida, that's my wish, as for our "fiend" i love him for being Cuban, for that is the only good quality I find in him
Sorry, got started late today, dare I say it, hangover, and must be off to work, will hang out with you my cyber Cuban friends tomorrow, see ya
Good morning Vana
we will rewrite cuban history
Mr. Ghost,
I don't believe you have ever read a comment from me on those 2 Blogs you have mentioned, since I never comment there nor I think I will ever do. I simply read what is written there and read the comments from the pro-communists that normally visit those 2 pig pens.
As far as what I was in Cuba prior to leaving, that is not of your concern. No, I was not a member or sympathized with the previous government of Cuba before Communism. But I did belong in my youth to an organization that was anti-communist by its very nature, the Juventud Estudiantil Catolica or JEC. As a member of that organization I did a very small part to spread the news of the coming assault on our institutions of learning and spent a few days in jail in 1960 for it. I did not have to pay the ultimate price that some of my friends had to in the following months after I left. And that is all you have to know.
The Bubble Burst...what happened? Stay Tuned..
Can someone please give the source of the study/survey that concluded that all those that left Cuba before 1980 were former Batista sympathizers (ex-batistianos?) I seem to recall many who battled Batista. Perhaps I am mistaken.
Curioso na'má,
El Caimán
Caimán:
Keep this a secret (I know I can rely on all of you, well, almost all of you):
A consortium of wealthy Cubans linked to the CANF has contracted Brazilian geneticists to clone Batista. The project is being headed by Otto Reich. The idea is to clone legions of Batistas to invade the fatherland. Failing that, just one Batista to re-stage another bloodless coup (as in 1933 and 1952).
If the experiment fails the back-up plan is to install Batista's grandson, currently a justice of the Florida Supreme Court, appointed by Jeb Bush, as Batista III (in due obeissance to Batista's own sons who have been bypassed in the succession).
I may be killed for revealing this. If this is my last post or my last comment assume that I have been. And, of course, start the tributes coming.
Val & Henry will look particularly noble if they leave their tributes too. God knows no one owes me more than they do.
Please Manuel, say it ain't so, about the cloning, this is too much to take
Manuel,
this has got be to be a tongue in cheek exercise for a light day of bloging. Isn't it? What is next? The coming movie for a Christmas release "The boys from Banes" maybe?
Good article above Manuel, about the health care system in Cuba, the truth needs to be told, and people need to understand that, it's not all a bed of roses over there, indeed it's a bed of thorns.
Who claims that the ones that left early in the robolution are all Batistianos? we were not, I was a child, my parents were never involved in politics, they panicked when they heard rumors that the robolution was going to take away their kids to indoctrinate them (which is still hapenning) and send them to Russia, that is why we left early in the 1960's nothing to do with Batista, I consider all of us Cubans, who cares when they left the prison Island, looking for freedom, I welcome them all.
Mr Ghost,
that is exactly what I trying to tell you in one of my previous commentaries. I was never associated with anyone in the previous Government and yet you accused me of exactly just that. You also had used the word big mouth. I let such "kind" words roll off my back since they don't bother me at all. I explained what little I did to counter the indoctrination we saw coming but at the time I was only a very young man with no experience whatsover and so I was caught like a deer in the headlights of a car. Others much more braver than I stayed behind and had to pay a very dear price for their beliefs. When the majority in Cuba were shouting praises and loas to the Beast, we tried to warn them of the coming disaster, but few were smart enough to listen at that time. I had life long friends threaten me with denunciations to the authorities because of my counterrevolutionary attitude. This was very painful to me but I knew we were right and when the time went by, we were proven right.
Agustin
How very sad and horrible are the experiences you recount for us, to have gone to jail at a tender age like KC, who was sent to prison when he was only 11 years old, those were very sad times, when as today, people were afraid to tell the truth about the way they felt, Valladares was sent to prison, for I believe 20 years, because he simply said, if fidel is socialist, then I'm not with him, to have wasted 20 years of your life for a simple comment, is beyond me, by the way, have you read his book? Against all Hope, I read it in English, then again in Spanish
Vana,
I consider spending 4 miserable days in a sports center converted into a mass jail, a badge of honor. There were many people there among us who had done absolutely nothing wrong except maybe give an opinion contrary to the regime and the evil course that events were taking in Cuba at that time. I guess we were put in there because we were not "trustworthy elements" in the regime's opinion. For a 17 year old kid it was a traumatic experience and an oportunity to grow up and mature in a hurry. My family got me out of Cuba shortly after that. Others as I said, paid a very dear price, including the ultimate price, when they decided to stay behind. I will forever remember their great valor and sacrifice, and the price they paid for their ideals. I will never forget them.
Agustín,
Don't let Fantomas divert your attention from what he said withthe story about Venezuela.
If Castro invented the myth of the exbatistianos, he sure expressed it as if it were his own. Now he tries to divert the attention to the venezuelans. Don't let him off the hook. I wonder if all Marielitos are Castro agents?
Apreciada Fantomas,
A mi no me asustas. Yo vi la película en persona. Guardate la guapería para quién te crea.
Si no dominas el inglés, dínoslo.
Dialogaremos en tu "pidgeon" Español.
Stand up to what you said, simple as that. You said that you were not a Batista supported (exbatistiano) like those who left Cuba before Mariel. Same thing Castro said.
You are just repeating what the comandante said. I must conclude that you are either repeating the same words Castro said because you believe them, or you are just repeating what you were told to say. Either way, what you say is painting 1 million exiles that came before you with the same brush.
The people that have helped you in many ways.
You don't realize it but there are many people from many countries trying to get a work permit in the US, including Puerto Rica. All you did was get on the boat your buddies (or bosses) told you to get into. I don't know you, perhaps like Reinaldo Arenas, you were sent to the US because you were homosexual. If that was the case, welcome.
Please don't repeat the same propaganda you heard in La Rampa. By now you should know most of it is not true.
We are not going to get into how you despise the people of Puerto Rico who have opened their arms to so many of us whe ran away from castro. Maybe it's part of the propaganda scheme.

The bickering that is going on here is sad. If you can settle your differences now, what's going to happen when the fifo dies. Who is going to sit at the head of the table, the miami viejos, the marielitos, the socialistas, the invicibles ones, los hijos the william tell.
I think we need to give each other some space and find the common ground that unite us. Our love for Cuba and the hope for democracy.
Corgiguy,
I eco your words. My sentiments exactly. Now if only the friendly ghost would sign up on them, we all will be very happy.
Fantomas,
I have never endorsed or encourage your use of any means of intimidation. Please do not put words in my mouth I have never said. Stick to the truth and you will be respected more.
Peace.

Talk about irony. Fidel claims his revolution is a success despite a boycott too.
Daniel:
So you favor us once again with your comment as you favor us always with your presence here. Thanks to you I know where Valle del Dique is.
Castro long ago gave up the pretense that the U.S. "boycott" didn't hurt him. He began singing a different tune tune in 1989. You are a little behind the times, my friend.
And, yes, your friends at Babalú are very adept at banning and boycotting, but I know all their tricks and regularly expose them here. And there are many like you who come here to witness the spectacle every day, though most of them are too intimidated by the machine to comment. Or don't you know?
