"Whose house? Obama's House!" -- "Obama's House," Smashed Flog, November 7, 2008 [quoted in SFDB ].
Neither Smashed Flog nor Rick (of SFDB) knows that "¡Fidel, esta es tu casa!" was the most popular slogan of the Cuban Revolution. After Fidel Castro's ascent to power (as per the dictum of the U.S.) practically every house in Cuba had a placard proudly pronouncing that it was "Fidel's house." Little did those homeowners imagine that Castro didn't need an invitation to make their houses his. Or their land. Or their stores. Or anything else that belonged to them.
"Damn Marxists."
Damn Right.

Long live Obama
Pioneros por Obama seremos como el
Rick:
Yes, January 20th. Mark it on your calender. Nothing else happening on that day except the end of Western civilization.
If George agrees with me, he is right.
Imagine someone at Babalú being right about something! I don't know whether to feel proud or obsolete.
rick said: You and George Moneo should get a room together.
Or a big garbage compactor!!
manuel said: I don't know whether to feel proud or obsolete.
Pick "obsolete."
George said: When I heard Mr. Obama's news conference today, I was taken aback by his flippant insult to Nancy Reagan about her holding "séances" in the White House.
But yet, you werent taken abck when Bush "remarked" thousands of American soldiers to their deaths. An insult to America!!
Have a look at all the union reagan republicans hard at work this election in the heartland of America. And then you can figure out why America no longer belongs to your types of people.

Wow, it seems as if the Spanish-speakers have rejected the anti-Spanish rhetoric of the republican party. Manuel, how come you have not written about how the republican party has lost the Spanish-speaker vote? Scared of what you may find?
http://ndnblog.org/node/3209
One other point, interesting to note how, when it is clear that Texas oil men will no longer be in office, that oil prices have dropped!!
I see, now the slogan will be Esta es tu Casa Obama, sounds eerely familiar.
Manuel of course there was no such sticker at my house, imagine our shock when we went to visit my aunt and on her door we saw "Esta es tu Casa Fidel" our shock was double when we entered and found she had a farmer there she was alfabetizando, she swallowed the Fidel bullshit hook line and sinker, just like the Obama supporters.
Manuel:
I wanted to add that my mom could not believe the stupidity on my aunt's part (her sister) believe it or not she was a professor at the University of Havana, you would think she would have more brains than that!!
You know, it is upsetting to me, that the Cuban exiles always attempt to label me as somehow interolent of their community. I, however, am not.
Just take a look at my home state of Indiana. I now live in a liberal blue state. So if i were so anti-Cuban, wouldnt it make sense to just move to a red-state. A republican red-state that shares an anti-Cuban-immigrant attitude like Alabama, or Mississippi.
So try to use some common sense analysis, before you label me a redstate redeck, because my home state is now liberal blue!!
Listen, its like this folks, this election was absolutely devastating to the Cuban exile community. Never again, will you dictate America's bankrupt foreign policy towards Cuba.
What is so tragic, is that you strut around bragging about how pro-neo conservative that you remain.
Fact is, the nation no longer wants to associate with neo-cons. It is a failed political philosophy, which you should have rejected long ago, as has the majority of the nation. To do so, only guarantees that your voices will fall silent in this nation, never to be heard from again.
Mel Martinez, will also lose his seat in two years!! Florida is no longer a red-state. And he shouldnt have called Obama a communist.
Esto esta MORIO hoy.
Ni las moscas.
Breaking news, breaking news!!!
The xenophobic republican party is now asking the xenophobic Newt Gingrich to be the voice of the republican party. I guess the republican party wants to lose the last of the Spanish-speaking immigrant left in the republican party. Exception, of course, being the Cuban-American, who ignorantly believe that they are exempted from the immigrant bashing that will begin at a feverish pace.
Ladies and gentlemen, we are witnessing the rapid implosion of the republican party. Thanks Bush!!
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/postpartisan/2008/11/newt_in_2012.html
Correct link of 2012 Newt.
http://voices.washingtonpost.com/postpartisan/2008/11/newt_in_2012.html
Maybe even a Gringrich/Trancredo ticket. Wow, now talk about some serious conservative Spanish-immigrant bashing run amok. And there can be no doubt, that Trancredo will attempt to turn the Cuban-American into the boogey-man in front of the world. Good luck, my Cuban-American friends. As this election nightmare, has just gotten even more horrific.
Relevant section of Newt 2012:
Republicans seem chastened by the failure of seeking moderate, independent and even Democratic votes. They are ready to try going back to the "old-time"
Oh man, America is about to get very nasty for any Spanish-speaking immigrant!!
I remember when this blog, and I really hate to say this, actually did some important critiques of babalu's writings. Now we have Manny and Moneo interlocked in their political ideology, props going out to Gomez, and comments that are written mostly in a foreign language or penned by pseudonyms.
January 20th can't come soon enough for the decomposing cadaver that used to be a vibrant RCAB.
.
What's wrong Ricky baby?
Just because your arrepentido boy - or girl - toy Alex didn't take a trip to Broward on Saturday night to be with you doesn't mean the end of the world is near, just be a girly-man about it and find yourself another Latin to play with, Oscar del Corral can tell you where to find the ones at the cheapeast price, just remember to wipe before and after, cheap tricks carry lugage, but hey... you know that from first hand experience, you girly boy you.
Manuel,
Wow man, are you that devastated that you would let Rick strut in and slap you silly?
Oh well, all the better, that you learn to start taking your Democratic punishment humbly!!
Rick:
It's not RCAB that's decomposing. It's the milieu. By the time real putrefaction sets in, this blog will be gone. It will form no part of the general decay.
Thank-you, though, for the "vibrant" part. I have no doubt that SFDB will participate in that vibrancy once it becomes Babalú's sole arbiter elegantiarum.
BTW, you committed a grave error by banning the Babalunians. Although this blog was formed as my answer to Val's having banned me, I never retaliated in kind. Some of the RCAB's finest moments consisted of their visits here and my answers to them. You have robbed yourself of a great pleasure and occasion for instruction.
Manuel,
Ok, so Mat, because someone who isnt a conservative assumes power, you feel the urget need to flee. When conservative Batista no longer ran Cuba, did you run from Cuba with the same urgency? Where do you run to Manuel? Why do you run? Isnt the freedom for Cuba, bigger then any one man, i.e., Obama? I thought you were a brave Cuban immigrant keyboard warrior, what happened? Why do you let commie liberal Obama supporters like Rick, come in and toss you around like a cheap jacket?
Manuel, i truly feel sorry for you. As i believe that you did make a good faith effort to expose the enemies of Cuba's freedom, i.e., Babulu. However, you failed to expose Cuba's freedom greatest enemy during the 2000's, George. W. Bush. Twenty years from now, Cuban scholars will belately expose Bush's complicity in Cuba's failure to obtain her freedom. As will the exposure of Cuban-Americans who remained silent in the face of Bush's willful neglect of the Cuban question, like those named Manuel.
Shame on you Manuel, shame on you!!
john:
Ah, you are a pearl, john. I hope some day you find your way to a museum.
This Blog is boring, really manuel very very boring
I'm serious when I say that RCAB was vibrant. Although I didn't agree with your positions on everything, the sharp criticism and disassembling of babalu was exceptional.
But you've taken up residence with those you so despise and you've become more like them in maybe not all ways, but in the fundamentals of your ideology and that has made all the difference. Not that you you were much different from them to begin with, as you well know, but as the pats on the back grow, the line gets fuzzier and fuzzier.
You are a hardliner at heart, after all, Manny, and you will always be more like them than you are reasonable and clear.
As far as the comments go at SFDB, the babalu contributions evolved, if that is the word, into nothing more than vulgar epithets or ideological rants. Neither added to the discussion and after they banned me from babalu, I decided to return the favor. SFDB is no less poorer for it despite what you may believe.
Let's face it, Manny, your comments are a mess. In an effort to apparently prove something to babalu about freedom of speech, this place has turned into a cesspool of pseudonyms and mindless name calling. It used to be enjoyable to scroll through the interchange now it's just, well...boring.
.
Rick said: Let's face it, Manny, your comments are a mess
Seriously Manuel, Rick does have a point. In your efforts to blame Cuba's lost opportunity for freedom this decade at Obama's feet, your writings have become cartoonish, and unreadable. It is tragic that your Bush loving ways, have triumped basic common sense. As it is an insult not only to your readers who actually possess common sense. But it is also an insult to Cuba's movement towards freedom. I always gave you the benefit of the doubt, because you expressly stated that you were not some right-wing, neo-con nutjob like Babulu. But in fact, Obama's campaign exposed your unpopular neo-con school of thought. As your boorish attempt to strong-arm Henry to write only positive things about (non-conservative)Mccain, and write only negative things about Obama. But this revelation should come as no surprise to any one who has closely followed your writings. As you have been known to be less then candid, to put it lightly. Nevertheless, i will not interfere with your epic pouting, which you are showing the blogisphere. As it has become rather enjoyable. As has watching them pout over at Babulu, Foxnews, Freerepublic, and just about anywhere you bankrupt, scorned, Bush-loving neo-conservatives nest!!
Say it aint so Joe. Gosh darnit, when are you going to update this blog.
I'm ready to announce that Manuel has accepted an offer from me to provide "counterpoint" posts at babalu beginning in the very near future.
George, Henry, and I feel very strongly that Manuel shares most of our militant viewpoints on Cuba and we have agreed to disagreed on the areas that we don't see eye to eye on.
We're looking forward to this collaboration and hope that all of RCAB's readers will follow Manuel to his new home at babalu.
We welcome you.
Manuel, why didnt you just rename RCAB, "Babulu too."
Oh my god, Foxnews has together, Joe the Plumber, and Tito the Builder. LOL, frekkin losers. Tito the Builder, needs to ask Joe the Builder, why conservatives like him hates Spanish-speaking immigrants.
Manuel:
John is no pearl more like a closed clam, I don't know how many times you have pointed the finger at Bush's foibles, no matter how many times we tell him we are no fans of Bush, that he has sustained the WF/DF policy longer than Clinton, that we know damn well he has done nothing for Cuba's freedom, nor any other American president Democrat or Republican for that matter, yet he still doe not get it, our friend John seems to be quite dense.
Vana,
Manuel exposed himself explicitly when he shrilled for that "unsinkable" doofus xenophobic Palin. This is precisely why he has to shut down RCAB, or else do some serious deletion. Since he has lectured others about deletion, he has no choice other then to shut down RCAB. As Manuel gave the last bit of dignity he had to Pailin. As Bush, had already taken the lion share of it.
To quote Ted Rall, of all people:
"Don't be fooled by the electoral college rout. The popular vote reveals that United States remains a deeply divided country. Bush got 51 percent of the vote in 2004; Kerry drew 48 percent. Obama defeated McCain 51-48. A surge of newly registered voters, including many African-Americans energized by Obama's candidacy, accounts for the three percent difference.
No one's mind has changed. People who voted for Bush in 2004 voted for McCain. If everyone who voted for Obama had shown up at the polls four years ago, John Kerry would be president. Obama's victory is the triumph of retail fundraising, computer metrics, and a team of smart, focused advisors who knew how to exploit them."
"a single tear went down my face" hahhaha, no llores mas...aqui estan los hankies
In the same manner that democrats switched from being the party of southern white racists, republicans can become the party of the coming latino majority. It will pretty much just require a 180 degree change on immigration but the moral issues will support them. Just look at the prop 8 vote here in California. Black and latino voters overwhelmingly chose Obama but passed the anti-gay marriage amendment. Most white and black democrats are anti-immigration. If someone whose name ends in -uez (and not Cuban) is on the top of Republican ticket in a decade or so, they will win. Obama will probably be the last black president.
Fulano:
The latinos here voted down prop 8 because of the negative ads claiming gay marriage would be taught in schools, what a bunch of bullcrap! conventional marriage is not taught in schools why would they teach about gays!! I voted for it, once again my voice wasn't heard.
fulano said: If someone whose name ends in -uez (and not Cuban) is on the top of Republican ticket in a decade or so, they will win.
You got that right. Latins throughout the Western Hemisphere have a bitter hatered of the Cuban-American. In fact, i think Martinez will lose his senate seat in two years, because of the Latins outside of Miami. And of course, white America will never nominate a Cuban immigrant to lead the Grand Ole Party anways. What would the southern base of xenophobics think?
As far as Obama being the last black President. There i have to take issue. Blacks given the opporunity that have been previously closed to them tend to perform very well. Let it be the military, Gen. Powell, sports, Tiger Woods, black coaches Tony Dungy, or even the space program Col. Bluford, who is regarded as the best astronaut that Nasa has ever seen. I have no doubt that President Obama will prove to be one of the best Presidents of all time. As a result, i think Latins would not turn their back on another black President 50 years from now, just because he is not Latin. Cubans are the one who tend to based their decisions on shade of the skin color, rather then merit.
Say it: President Barack Obama
President Barack Obama,President Barack Obama,President Barack Obama,President Barack Obama,President Barack Obama,President Barack Obama,President Barack Obama,President Barack Obama
And there goes the barbaric Cuban embargo, and wet/foot dry/foot. Sorry Cuban-Americans, we no longer will assist you and Castro to inflict more sufferage of the Cuban people.
http://www.buzzflash.net/story.php?id=78338
Breaking news, breaking news!!!
Newt for chairmanship of the republican party. The gop is going hard right for the xenophobic voter. Get ready for some horrific Cuban-American bashing from the republican party.
http://www.rightpundits.com/?p=2377
The destruction of the Cuban-American power structure is nothing short of a greek tragedy, which continues to unfold by the day. After the 2000 election, where the Cuban-Americans by brute force became the kingmakers of the world with the election of the world's most powerful man, President Bush. Their voting block became both feared and respected throughout D.C., and the nation. They were in a position to demand the world of the republican party, and guickly get it. But they instead, reverted back to soaking up the Miami sunshine, and bragging about what they did, rather then capturing what they had been waiting for nearly 40 years. Even after Castro became a shell of a man, the Cuban-Americans fell to sieze this most momenteous moment in Cuba's history. Now, it is 2008 and the Cuban-Americans have shown the world that they no longer matter to the making of an American President. Worse, they are now being positioned to be the scapegoats by the immigrant bashing Trancredos, Gringrichs, and the Pailins.
What makes this series of events all the more tragic. Is that Cuba for nearly 50 years eagerly awaited the then well-positioned Cuban-Americans to flex their power with the American President which they made, i.e., Bush. Instead, the Cuban-American only asked America to increase the sufferage of the Cuban island. Which the conservative xenopobics were all to happy to oblige, as is the foreign policy towards Latin America in general.
Yes, Manuel, you probably should shut this blog down. As you and the other Cuban-Americans have failed the movement, with the worshiping of these xenopobic, who wish to harm the Cuban islanders, even more then the Cuban-Americans.
Sincerely,
John
Between Rick the narcissit who habitually robs the taxpayers by blogging while "working" for the government, Alex the indoctrinated socialist that thinks he is better at everything than anyone else and John the old kook that wakes up with the roosters and constantly neglects to take his medications, they make up a motley crew representative of the brain washed, cultist morons that were common in the 1960s & 1970s. The three of them should try more than just talking the talk, they should move to Cuba and enjoy the mediocrity of Socialism, certainly they shall be free to express their complaints about everything, given that nothing done in Cuba makes any sense, so by all means Rick, Alex and John, move to Cuba and enjoy the rest of your miserable lives in mediocrity.
anon said: John, move to Cuba and enjoy the rest of your miserable lives in mediocrity.
Nah, i got a ringside seat to watch the butt-thumping that this leftist nation is about to give the Cuban immigrants. I have waited nearly 8 years for this moment.
Manuel, it is a good thing that you arent that brave Cuban female blogging from the prison called Cuba. That is the difference between cowardly cuban-americans that blog from america. And the brave cuban bloggers, who under the threat of prison or worse, that blog from cuba.
Go figure!!
Q##&/=??Q**#%$$&
Update your blog.
If "Esta es tu casa" brings bad memories, imagine the whooper I heard a few times: "¡Si Obama es socialista, que me pongan en la lista!" You gotta admit it's kind of funny.
Manuel, the real question is: you are closing the blog, but are you opening a new one? I hope so.
(And anon, I already lived in Cuba. Longer than you, I suspect.)
tic, tac, tic, tac, tic, tac, tic, tac, tic, tac, tic, tic, tac, tic, tic,
It is the manly thing to do
No me decepciones Alberto
President Obama<---------go ahead and put em on Mt. Rushmore, he is already the best president the world has ever seen.
John:
You need to take your meds man, you are ranting wildly, are you out of funds for your prozac? if so I can send you the money.
You got it wrong AGAIN Alex, I know that you lived in Cuba, duh!!! that's why I said you are an indoctrinated Socialist AND, I lived in Cuba longer than you, you just can never stop presuming, it is your nature, you cannot help it "compañero".
Obama will carry 85% of the Cuban-American vote in 2012.
Obama will carry 85% of the Cuban-American vote in 2012.
99% in 2012
Fantomas, apparently pigs do fly and hell has frozen over, man I never thought that I'd see the day when I could say that you seem to have become one of the normal (the Cuban normal) folks around here, kudos to you, someone else has taken over the position of nat away from you, no longer will you be considered the HPITAIC, at least not until the Obama plans are implemented and those in need of taking their meds are voluntarily compelled to do so.
Reporting from Miami -- Bernardo Benes is plotting to reprise his role as broker of the one humanitarian breakthrough in U.S.-Cuban relations in the 50 years since Fidel Castro's revolution came to power.Benes, who negotiated the 1978 release of 3,600 political prisoners and the right for Cuban exiles to visit family on the communist island, plans a freelance mission to his homeland to sound out President Raul Castro on what the Havana regime wants from President-elect Barack Obama.
"I want to be a loose cannon," said the 73-year-old retired banker. "I know Raul Castro will meet with me. We were teammates on the soccer team at the University of Havana. They trust me. My only hesitation is that they might think I have a message from Obama and they would be disappointed that I don't."Benes, like other supporters of improved relations with Cuba, sees in Obama's victory an opportunity to ease one of the most intractable relationships of the last half-century.Obama vowed during the campaign to work toward thawing the ice with perennial adversaries like Cuba, Iran and Syria. But his suggestion to meet with Raul Castro without preconditions outraged those exiles who want to continue to isolate Cuba until dissidents are freed and multiparty elections scheduled.
Obama won Florida's 27 electoral votes but not a majority of the Cuban American vote. And the state's three Republican Cuban American members of Congress won reelection on pledges to hold firm on the nearly 47-year-old economic embargo of the island.Cuba policy analysts differ on how much the next administration can improve relations, since the harsh sanctions were written into law a dozen years ago and require acts of Congress to change. The victory of Florida's congressional hardliners on Cuba policy -- all of whom supported Republican presidential candidate John McCain -- could be a blessing for Obama if he wants to break with the failed strategy of forcing reform by withholding trade and contact, said John McAuliff of the Fund for Reconciliation and Development, which advocates improving ties with Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Cuba."President-elect Obama owes nothing to these folks who were key supporters of McCain," McAuliff said of Reps.
Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, and brothers Lincoln and Mario Diaz-Balart, whose aunt Mirta was married to Fidel Castro in the 1950s.The three Republicans weathered fierce challenges for their House seats, contending that the Democratic Obama would cozy up to the Castros. In South Florida, where anti-Castro sentiments run strongest among the wealthiest and most powerful, the Democratic challengers asserted only timid proposals for changing Cuba policy, such as revoking a 2004 administrative directive limiting family visits to the island to once every three years.Easing family travel restrictions would prompt demands from other U.S. citizens to tour the island, McAuliff speculated.
Lifting the travel ban would show a new foreign policy face to allies who see the sanctions as U.S. bullying, he said, pointing to the recent U.N. General Assembly vote of 185 to 3 urging the U.S. to repeal the embargo. The Republican House members, though, have been casting their victories as an endorsement of the status quo."It is the clearest possible signal that Cuban Americans remain steadfast and united in their support of freedom for Cuba," said Lincoln Diaz-Balart, who beat former Hialeah Mayor Raul Martinez by 16 percentage points. "It means strong support for maintaining sanctions until all political prisoners are freed, all political parties, the press and labor unions are legalized, and free elections are scheduled."Mauricio Claver-Carone, a lobbyist for the embargo with the U.S. Cuba Democracy Political Action Committee, said the representatives' reelection was insurance against Obama making any major revisions to Cuba policy.
"The results were very clear," he said. "The Cuban American community does support sanctions."Exile reaction to Obama's proposal to meet with Raul Castro makes it unlikely he will head for Havana "right off the bat," said Jake Colvin, a trade policy analyst and advocate of U.S.-Cuba engagement. But there's much the new president can do quickly to improve ties, he said.Lower-level diplomatic contacts, cooperation in fighting drug trafficking and illegal immigration, and ceasing the detention of foreign terrorism suspects at the U.S. Naval Base at Guantanamo Bay are all within the president's power, Colvin said.
"There are relatively incremental things he could do to restore people-to-people travel, educational exchanges, withdraw the Bush administration restrictions imposed in 2004. All that would send a pretty good signal to the rest of the world that change is in the works," he said. Some who support normalizing relations with Cuba say they hope for change under the Obama administration but have been disappointed too often to count on it."We keep saying Cuba has to do something to get rid of the embargo.
We have to do something. We're the ones embargoing them," said Albert Fox, founder of the Alliance for Responsible Cuba Policy.Benes, who was quietly dispatched by President Carter to negotiate opening contact between Cubans on the island and those who fled the 1959 revolution, believes there is desire in the Cuban leadership to end the Cold War's last battle. The Cuban government hailed Obama's victory in a statement, and Foreign Investment Minister Marta Lomas said Havana hoped for an easing of the embargo.
Dissidents also told foreign news agencies that they welcomed the U.S. leadership change and hoped Obama would fulfill promises to seek better ties."It's really stupid what we have done for 50 years. Nobody benefits," Benes said. "It's a complex we have that is preventing this. Nobody wants to accept that they've failed."Benes will go to Havana via a third country, he said, without any political mandate.
He said he doesn't need a Treasury Department license exempting him from the travel embargo because he is a credentialed journalist with Our Elder Brothers and Sisters, a foundation he runs for strengthening interfaith relations. But he said he won't go until he has someone in the Obama transition team willing to hear whatever he finds out in Cuba."I know people will call me naive, but you can get a lot accomplished under the cover of naivete," he said. "I know because that's what was said when I went to Cuba to bring back the first group of political prisoners."Williams is a Times staff writer.carol.williams@latimes.com

In other words Obama may soon make all cubans forget Kennedy
Obama will be a centrist. He will do just right. Trying to end the war, fixing the economy and going after the enemies of our state
including Castro
fantomas,
Yes, of course he will govern from the center. But there will be many quiet leftist task that "must" take place. One of the most important task is to remove the Cuban militants, by any means necessary. They must never be allowed to show their faces ever again!!
Good to know Enrique, that is if you're talking about yourself when you say "...al verdadero Fantomas...", instead of the real Fantomas, the one whose movies I used to go watch at el Cine Cuba, Rialto or Martí, remember that he kept the diamonds retrieved from the ocean cavern in one of his adventures, he was swifter than James Bond, gotta love the French, between Fantomas and Asterix they kept many of us from going insane watching the muñequitos rusos and volunteering for la escuela al campo.

Its official, Obama is coming in as the most popular President in American history. I think it is clear to everybody that Obama has near God-like status. It makes one wonder if he was really sent here by God!!

Y como esta la cosa por aqui ?
Manuel, estas ?
john, what are you doing in Indiana? You should move to a real blue state...
solar,
Well, everybody is saying that my Governor Mitch Daniel will save the republican party. But he makes tom trancredo look like a boy scout. If Gov. Daniels is the republican nominee, he will run what left of the hispanic vote into the democratic party. Except of course, for the lonely cuban militants. Who really dont have a choice but to remain in the conservative xenophobic party.
solar,
By the way Indiana is a "now" a real blue state. It will never go red again. Here, everybody says that they voted for obama. Everybody loves Obama in Indiana.
Who cares what the Cuban exile militant has to say anymore.
john,
I don't think you are a liberal-- you just hate cubans.
solar,
Yah, a lot of liberals have said that i dont belong in the Democratic party. So i left to join the independent party. But with Obama winning, i decided to hurry to get aboard his band wagon. So, now i have become more tolerant of the Cuban militants. So no i dont hate the Cubans. I just dont like Cuban militants.
By the way, i do think liberals are too nice to Cuban immigrants. Look at how they hate Carter, Clinton, Kennedy, LBJ, and now Obama. The hate should not go just one way.
John, Moneo , Plancier and Prieto are fake militants
What say you about them
Rick "on the taxpayers' dime" blogger, how do you like the "foreign language", pendejo?
f44,
Well, they dont take me on anymore, and if they do, it is always anonymously. I have beaten them so many times, that they dont dare look me in my eyes. So yah, your right, they are fake militants. But when i lived in Miami, i noticed that there was a sense of entitlement and arrogrance within the Cuban-American community. And if they did not possess those two qualities, then they were indifferent, which is equally as disturbing considering the ugliness that is happening 90 miles away from their home nation.
Nevertheless, i dont have the hatered that i once had for them. As the recent events has disenboweled them, and their message. This nation will do what it wants with Cuba, without the voice of the Miami Cuban exile.
Therefore, to answer your question, 1) yes they are fake militants 2) Babulu didnt start to enrich Val and Henry, but its only service now is one of a personal piggy bank 3) they still need to be stomped out of existence 4) their extreme right-wing voices will be stomped out in a leftist nation.
Obama ran his campaign on the word "CHANGE" yet he's picking Clintonistas for his cabinet, I ask you what kind of change is that?? seems the more things "Change" the more they stay the same..lol..
Bridge to nowhere
On Friday, Palin told reporters: "Those are the RNC's clothes. They're not my clothes. I never forced anybody to buy anything."
In an interview with the Anchorage Daily News, Palin faulted the policies of the Bush administration for the defeat of the GOP ticket, and said, "it's amazing that we did as well as we did."
"I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a $10 trillion debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration? If we're talking change, we want to get far away from what it was that the present administration represented and that is to a great degree what the Republican Party at the time had been representing," Palin said in a story published Sunday.
Obama ran his campaign on the word "CHANGE" yet he's picking Clintonistas for his cabinet, I ask you what kind of change is that?? seems the more things "Change" the more they stay the same..lol..

Dear Vana , Obama promised to change the 8 years of Bush
Vana,
for someone who hates Cubans so much, John Longfellow seems to be obsessed with them. All of the commenters here, he happens to be the one who has a permanent obsession with Cubans. He hates them with a passion, but he cannot stop talking about them for one minute. I think deep inside he has homosexual fixation on some Cuban male guy and he cannot stop thinking about him. He sounds like a masochist fixated on Cuban males.
farinas
john is obsessed with cubans but you seem to be obsessed with mariquitas. You can't stop talking about them.
Fariñas falta un huracan mas, te recuerdas de mi profecia?
Agustin:
There's a thin line between love and hate, he pretends to hate us, but he sure seems to love hanging around with us here.
I think the problem is deeper than that, I believe he writes from a mental institution, he seems to be idle all day..lol..
Abogado mio:
Gracias por defenderme del bruto.
Mulato aka I know who:
Show a little respect for Agustin, no need to be insulting.
alex:
I bet that when you heard someone say "If Obama's a socialist, put me on the list" [there, Rick, I translated], you must have thought of me and my Doomsday predictions. No doubt you will be thinking a lot about me in the coming 4 years.
Yes, I see signs everywhere. E.g.: the red & black gown that Michelle Obama wore on Election night was designed exactly like the "26th of July" flag. The fact that the designer was a Cuban adds credence to the assumption.
I suppose that I could fill RCAB with similar obvervations for the next 4 years; but I'm convinced and see no need to pile evidence on evidence to proof what is already obvious to me and will become obvious to ever greater numbers with each passing day. (Yes, just as it did in Cuba).
I have no plans to open another blog in the foreseeable future. I may return to my days as a commenter as I wait for the inevitable dénouement.
