Val Prieto will henceforth be known on this blog as "Siboney Val" in recognition of his tireless defense of the island's indigenous people against the assaults made on them by Spaniards attempting to force religion on them. As the exemplar of our highest cultural values, and avenger of the Spaniards' immemorial wrongs, Siboney Val has earned the right to represent the otherwise extinct Siboney people.
Hail to you, Siboney Val, the areíto will never die in you!

"Hail to the Chief"
Siboney Val ..LOL..I love it! and are the Siboney really extinct Manuel? I have read that at least 1% of the population in Cuba is of Siboney descent, and there you go, Val the King of 1%...LOL
Vana:
You can always find a trace of every race that ever lived on the earth, even Neanderthals. And sometimes these 1 percent races are resurrected, such as the New York tribe of the Mohicans (remember Fenimore Cooper's novel, The Last of the Mohicans, published 150 years ago?) After they ceased to exist as a collective entity, the Mohicans were miraculously re-discovered when their distant heirs petitioned the government for their own casino concession. These blonde blue-eyed Mohicans now meet in tribal councils, smoke a peace pipe from central casting, and chant nonsense by rote since not one of them can speak the Mohican tongue.
LMAO...Manuel, blue eyed Mohicans that don't speak their own language, makes one wonder what it is they are smoking with those pipes...LOL...
