It was a unique moment in the history of Babalú and it is unlikely that we shall ever see a repetition. It was their intention not to address Val Prieto's outing of Killcastro on Babalú. They could not find the words to address it publicly. Among themselves, in the e-mails that passed between them this weekend -- hundreds of them -- they had no difficulty gloating about what Val had done and mocking Killcastro's pain. It is a pain and anguish that most of them do not empathize with because their families are here not on the island, and though they must have heard of conditions in Cuba, few, if any, have actually experienced on their own flesh the full weight of totalitarianism. We know that Val and Henry do not identify with or even understand the real plight of the Cuban people, who have been held hostage for nearly 50 years by a criminal enterprise abetted by the superpower(s). Their partiality to the sole remaining superpower blinds them in many regards (as it once did the 19th century annexationists) to the real nature of Castro's tyranny and they are more liable to blame the Cuban people for enduring it than Castro for perpetrating it or the U.S. for sanctioning it.
Val's frequent references to rendering the Cuban people in a pressure cooker or his incitements to a bloodbath shows that he regards them as an obstacle to his plans for Cuba. If only they would oblige him by disappearing -- all of them, except, perhaps, some trophee dissidents -- Val and others like him could realize their vision of Cuba as another Puerto Rico, at best, or an island-wide Guantánamo base. Only if you first understand that can you then understand Val's act of outing Killcastro and the reaction of the other Babalunians to it. Killcastro's family means nothing to them, just more sheep to be led to the general slaughter. Their blasé attitude to their fate, the fact that they can even joke and laugh about it, leaves no doubt as to their depraved indifference to human life. In a word, their inhumanity.
Henry's cartoon, "Squashing the Losers," was their collective reply to their blogger critics. But they got a big surprise. For the first time in months, one of their posts caught fire. A surge of commenters -- and God knows how many more whose comments were deleted -- made known to them the revulsion which Val's actions inspired in them. Henry was literally cornered and could hardly defend himself. In the end he was sputtering obscenities and making ridiculous charges like a man on the verge of a nervous breakdown. We have seen him like this many times before but never so besieged. And then, pro forma, the "Squashing the Losers" post was gone, deleted as many of their posts that just didn't "go right."
We have, of course, preserved a copy.
We shall analyze it in future posts point by point.
This post that, perhaps, would have passed quietly into Babalú's archives will, instead, be kept alive here.
Their efforts to suppress the truth through censorship will doubly damn them
I have always said that Val & Co. are their own worst enemies.
Well said Manuel...
ReplyDeleteYou saw Val article on Cachao...First Val is not 37 years old..
ReplyDeleteLook at this 2005 article
http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/2005-02-27-cuban-blogger_x.htm
Mat, more excellent observations, but consider this for a moment.
ReplyDeleteThat maybe Val had no intention in explaining his "outing." Rather, as you accurately pointed out, "Henry's caricature, caught fire, and consequently Henry was unprepared to handle the tough questions in Val's absence. Henry therefore was forced to quickly pacify the building storm that was soon to follow in the Babulu kingdom. And recklessly offered that Val the boy King would come down from the mountintop and "explain" the "outing" at a later time. Of course, we know now that Val was hiding in a fetal position with his thumb stuck in his mouth pondering how he could sneak his "chivato" act around his angry brethen, including his simple-minded followers.
Of course, Val being "slightly" smarter than Henry knew there would be no forthcoming and valid explanation of KC's "outing." Yet Val was forced to fullfil Henry's promise, lest his confused poodles would begin to whimper more loudly, and begin to bite the boy King.
The boy King's final and "unfinished" product was not a valid explaination that satisfied the growing outraged. Rather Val's final product was a series of desperate, and superficial neverous giggles and snickers. That revealed the soft under-belly of Val Prieto when he is unable to maintain strict control on the freedom of expression or thought of his pathetic followers.
They have no clue and furthermore don't give a shit about those in the island prison, they just glorify themselves and should not be posting anything about Cuba.
ReplyDeleteManuel cannot wait til you disect the Squashing the Losers post.
All have a great day I'm off to work
Val Prieto=Chivato
ReplyDeleteHey Val, looks like you spent thousands of dollars in remodeling your home.
ReplyDeleteWHERE DID YOU GET THE MONEY!!
Looks like Cuban government money for a job well done!!
Nice Kitchen
ReplyDeleteMat,
ReplyDeleteMat someone stole my nick. Thankfully, you have the ip and now can know that i didnt not write: nice kitchen.
This can only be a prelude to a vicious attack upon your website much like those launch by Henry Gomez, and Val against the Cuban Connection.
Be prepared Mat, as they are getting desperate by you hard-hitting post against them. And are not doubt readying to damage you like that damaged KC.
John:
ReplyDeleteI have no doubt of it. My next post will elaborate on that subject.
You prescience is commendable.

Alex I see you are spending a great deal of time critiquing other bloggers which is sometimes a neccesary thing to do , but besides that, what have you done for Cuba lately?
Are you posting about Cuba in your excellent brand new blog
or is it me?
MAT,
ReplyDeleteThanks, but i have seen these "chivatos" in action. They hate anyone who disagree with them. They also hate any "cuban-themed" blog. Especially one like RCAB, that delivers critical analysis of Babulu.
At least you know the great lengths at which Henry and Val are willing to go in order to see RCAB's downfall.

ReplyDeleteI forgot to add that I have a secret weapon called "The Madhouse." Fantomas can tell you about it, so far he's been the only tenant.
If I notice that Val or Henry are trying to sabotage this blog, I will see to it that they are remanded there.
Your presence here will be protected. There will be no repetition of what happened at Miami's Cuban Connection. They have tried before and failed.
Ok Mat, here they go. They have well-prepared plans to victimize your blog, and to take you down.
ReplyDeleteFirst, Henry starts out with small remarks. Then he moves to more offensive remarks. Finally, he moves to nasty homosexual related remarks. Including, and not limited to ugly remarks and posted sites about young children. All in the attempt to conquer and destroy. Nothing is sacred, and nothing is spared!!
I am sure that you were well aware that this day would come before you. As they have inflicted vast amounts of damage upon so many other Cuban bloggers throughout the years. Many times without cause or justification other than to remove competition.
I can only hope that they will not defeat you as they have so many other Cuban bloggers, including Oscar, and to a lesser degree KC!!
Good luck!!
Wow Mat, your previous post read my mind. I am not worried about my nickname being hijacked. As it has become all too common. I worry more about the damage that they could do your blog.
ReplyDeleteBut i am confident of your abilities against these "chivatos."

ReplyDeleteqUE?
The only question i have about Val's new kitchen, is which countertop will Val bend Henry over first.
ReplyDeleteVal, could you do my kitchen?
ReplyDeleteThis has become quite a little scandal in Cuba (to MY surprise) I mean I KNEW the hatred of Cuban in the Island towards the hyphenated ones , Exilio Historico and Val Prieto types ‘cause I was reminded every god damn day I was able to talk to them or when I visited , that they felt these bunch was INDEED a MAFIA and in pure Cubanazo "Mas vale malo conocido que bueno por conocer"
ReplyDeleteNow, the whole chivato thing has taken a life of its own (some pointing out how much el CHIVATON #1 looks like KaSStro! Yes I had noticed that crazed, power hungry look before.
One thing that the even the communists hate is a Chivato (cause a Chivato will pounce on anyone regardless of creed and without any veracity to their claim and that is a very common way to get rid of someone within the government with whom you may have a beef. So even though these people and the Babaluains especially where despised in Cuba before. Now there's a target on their backs from both the ñangaras and the freedom fighters. I am still in one hell of an agonizing state here , but the unmasking of these men and women, gives me some solace , specially considering they committed political suicide thereby revealing to everyone not only their true agendas but their incalculable STUPIDITY!

To become a flat out Clown !
Val and Henry make a cute couple.
ReplyDeleteMat , when will yo do your kitchen?
ReplyDeleteI am sure Vana is upset , she canT have such a beautiful kitchen
Could there be a connection between Henry Gomez "Tren Blindado" and the fact Tren Blindado ("The armored Train"), was also a Trotskian symbol?
ReplyDeleteCould a double agent be that brazen?
I am sure Val will have Henry decorate the kitchen. Homosexuals sure know how to decorate just right.
ReplyDeleteMr Val have you vacunated your dog lately?
ReplyDeleteLe ha dado usted los huesos y vitaminas a su bello perro
Hey kill Castro
ReplyDeleteCan I remodel yout kitchen?
Manuel is the madhouse open?
ReplyDeleteMamey
¿Si la envidia fuera tiña, cuantos tiñosos no hubiera? Now they not only envy Babalu's popularity but also Val's kitchen. LOL
ReplyDeleteMamey:
ReplyDeleteThe Madhouse is always open. It can be accessed very easily. Go to the front page. Proceed to the bottom of the page. There you will find the RCAB's "Fraternal Blogroll." The Madhouse is the first link. But do not go there if you are faint of heart and be forewarned that you may not return for hours.

ReplyDeleteI will have a few words to say about Val's kitchen. Stay tuned for the next post.
I can almost cry for Val Prieto's poor dog. If he treats people like animals, how must he treat his dog?

How about las tuberias del toilet de tu casa. Me dicen que se desborda la mierda de ahi. Te vamos a enviar a un individuo de Roto Rooters para que te lo destape
MAT: I didn't ask about the madhouse. Must be a retard from Babalu, or a fellow traveler who really belongs there, trying to create confusion or insinuations.I guess they don't like the use of terms such as 'idiot' or 'cretin' associated with them.
ReplyDeleteMamey
Can we get an updated count of the people who have been killed, tortured and jailed since Val revealed the name of the freedom fighter? I understand that Villa Marista is full and they began moving detainees to the Stadium Latinoamericano. I want to send a report to Freedom House but I need to get the latest numbers. This is an outrage and it has to be known by more than the 3 people who come here.
ReplyDeleteManuel:
ReplyDeleteSome of those anonymous comments seem to be coming from Henry, I would send those straight to The Madhouse.
john longfellow aka lou dobbs Aka Enrique Rubio I know is you..Please
ReplyDeleteFree country my friend...we got enough intelligent blogger like Manuel and Killcastro to feed information about cuba.
I like freelancing(wink)

ReplyDeleteHaven't you heard? You must really get your head out of wherever it is that you stick your head into when you get down on yourself and life.
Your precious Babalú is indeed the talk of the Cuban blogosphere for all the wrong reasons as usual. It survived the "Fidel Is Dead" hoaxes; it survived the BUCL fiasco; it survived Henry's attempt on the life of Oscar Biscet; but it will not survive, except as a curiosity, Val's enrollment in the CDR.
Check your stats. Babalú is now struggling to get 2000 visitors a day, which amounts to some 60-70,000 per month. Compare that to Generation Y's 1.2 million monthly hits.
Moreover, most of Babalu's visitors are steered there by google and other search engines. How many of these are Cubans> Very few from the number of its commenters.
Most of Babalú's visitors are high school or college kids looking for information on Cuba and 90 percent of their visits are less than 5 seconds because it has nothing to offer them but regurgitated clips from the MSM.
Don't fool yourselves: the importance of Babalú in the struggle for Cuba's freedom is peripheral at best. I am proud of my part in marginalizing it by exposing its foibles and the incompetence of Val and Henry.
Manuel, don't you realize how silly you sound when you keep saying that Babalu is dying, that it has very few visitors and you continue to live your whole life and concentrate your entire blogging existence writing about a blog that is "dying"?
ReplyDeleteIf Babalu is dying, spend your time defending the Cubans in the island, something that you seem incapable of doing. Spend your time writing about the suffering of the Cuban people, instead of your mental suffering at the hands of Val and Henry.
Cuba is the important thing, not your obsession with those two guys.
If you cannot write about Cuba because you are not familiar with the issues, educate yourself. There are many books that you can read that would help you improve your knowledge about the island and the suffering of its people.
Manuel,
ReplyDeleteWhy are you being so selfish about the caricature blog post?
Those of us who don't make it a habit to visit Babalu have never seen the post you are talking about.
Post it and let the world see what you are discussing.
Carlos:
ReplyDeleteThere is not much to it: a man scrapping little gingerbread sized-men from his shoe. Henry gives it the title "Squashing the Losers."
I thought you would be more interested in the reaction to the cartoon which Henry deleted post and thread. That, btw, I can provide you with.
Anonymous:
ReplyDeleteFeel free to continue your unfinished education here. A half hour at RCAB will teach you more about Cuban history than if you read every word published by Babalú.
